Terms & training policies

By using this website, you agree to use it lawfully and acknowledge that course details can change. Confirm current dates, locations, eligibility requirements, and required materials before attending.

Educational information

Website content and classroom materials are provided for training and general informational purposes. They are not legal advice. Firearm and permit requirements can change; students remain responsible for following current laws and agency instructions.

Eligibility and safety

Students must be legally eligible to possess and handle firearms and must follow all instructor and range safety rules. JPS Training may stop a student from participating when necessary to protect safety or comply with law.

Registration, refunds, and transfers

All training registrations and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. A registration may be used only by the student named at registration and may not be sold, assigned, gifted, or transferred to another person.

Government application, fingerprinting, ammunition, range, or other third-party fees are included only when expressly stated on the applicable course page.

Rescheduling

A student may reschedule a registration one time only. The rescheduling request must be received by JPS Training at least 24 hours before the scheduled class start time. Requests received less than 24 hours before class, cancellations, and failure to attend do not qualify for a refund, transfer, credit, or reschedule.

Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be arranged directly with JPS Training. The time an email request is received at TrainUSA1@gmail.com will be used to determine whether the 24-hour deadline was met.

Late arrival, incomplete training, and safety removal

Students are responsible for arriving on time with all required identification, equipment, and materials. Late arrival, incomplete attendance, failure to satisfy prerequisites, unsuccessful qualification, or removal for unsafe, disruptive, unlawful, or noncompliant conduct does not entitle the student to a refund, transfer, credit, or additional reschedule.

Changes made by JPS Training

JPS Training may change an instructor, range, location, schedule, or course format when reasonably necessary. If JPS Training cancels a course and cannot offer a reasonable replacement date, the affected student will be offered a refund of the training fee paid to JPS Training. This provision does not cover a student cancellation or failure to attend.

Course completion

Enrollment does not guarantee successful qualification, certification, permit approval, or licensing. Students must complete the required instruction and any applicable assessment or live-fire qualification. Government agencies make their own licensing and permit decisions.

Accuracy and availability

We work to keep course information accurate, but schedules, locations, instructors, laws, and requirements may change. JPS Training may correct errors or update offerings when necessary.

Separate safety documents

Participation may require completion of separate range rules, safety acknowledgments, medical information, or assumption-of-risk documents. Website acceptance does not replace any document required by an instructor, range, certifying organization, or government agency.

Applicable law and non-waivable rights

These terms are governed by applicable Maryland and federal law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right, remedy, duty, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If one provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
