Class format

  • Instructor-led professional security training
  • Classroom and practical instruction as applicable
  • Schedule and qualification location are confirmed after registration

Course requirements

  • Students must satisfy all applicable legal and agency prerequisites
  • Valid government photo identification is required
  • Any required live-fire qualification must be completed successfully

Before class

Know before you register.

  • No prior training or firearm ownership is required.
  • Students must be legally able to possess a firearm and present valid government photo identification.
  • Handguns and holsters are available for qualification; students may bring their own firearm.
  • No live ammunition is permitted during classroom instruction.
  • Fingerprinting and government application fees are not included.
  • Training is non-refundable. One reschedule is permitted with at least 24 hours’ notice.
