Renewal - DC/MD CCW

Combined renewal training for active DC Concealed Pistol License and Maryland Wear & Carry Permit holders.

Class format

  • In-person combined renewal instruction, generally 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • One-on-one range qualification scheduled after registration
  • Range location is subject to change

Range qualification

  • Active DC CPL and Maryland Wear & Carry Permit required
  • Live-fire safety and proficiency with a minimum score of 70%
  • Bring a carry firearm, holster, and 50 rounds unless instructed otherwise

Before class

Know before you register.

  • No prior training or firearm ownership is required.
  • Students must be legally able to possess a firearm and present valid government photo identification.
  • Handguns and holsters are available for qualification; students may bring their own firearm.
  • No live ammunition is permitted during classroom instruction.
  • Fingerprinting and government application fees are not included.
  • Training is non-refundable. One reschedule is permitted with at least 24 hours’ notice.
